Dreamhost is much better than Godaddy, Namecheap, etc !

Unfortunately, this is a true statement and having owed and managed over 100 domains, i know too well at the problems associated with the common and popular domain name registrars.

I am going to go through each registrar and talk about why they are not good when compared to Dreamhost. We will be looking at Godaddy, Namecheap, 1and1.com and moniker. These other big name domain registrar really don’t deliver when it comes down to it.

I have experience with all of these domain name regsitrars and I have finally settled upon Dreamhost as my domain name registrar of choice because they make it easy, don’t try to sell you a lot of stuff you don’t need and it the way domain name registrars should work.

Why Dreamhost Is Better

No Upsells – Have you every tried buying a domain name with Godaddy. It’s an endless series of upsells. I understand upsells and it’s their right but they are really annoying and unnecessary. No Upsells on Dreamhost.
No Hidden Upsells – This is my one big complaint with Namecheap. They really push their free domain name privacy guard product and its free for the first year but then its $4 a year per domain afterwards. Good Price – Its 9.95 per domain name per year and you can buy for three years in advance. How other companies (Network Solutions) can charge $35 a year is ridiculous! Godaddy and namecheap have price as their main selling point and Dreamhost matches them.
